The Problem
Other crypto investment platforms overload users with information right from the start which can be confusing to investors. Missing security features and slow transaction process also deter users from completing their transactions.
Solution
An organized, concise and direct navigation to easily guide users throughout the site and a code verification during a transaction process resulting in a streamlined balance transfer flow.
Research Summary
Prior to research, I made an assumption that making money was a high priority for users when investing in cryptocurrency but my research proved that most users are concerned more about the transparency of the site, the speed and security of their transactions.
Confusing website
Other investment platform’s architectural information are too complex that can overwhelm new users and get lost in the site.
Slow transaction process
Cryptocurrency is very volatile and a slow transaction process can affect trading in real time. Users want to buy crypto at current value.
Lack of security
Investing is risky and users need additional verification or security to prove buyer’s identity.
Two main user groups were identified based on user feedbacks.
A beginner investor who wants to learn about cryptocurrency but unsure how to begin due to an overload of information.
An avid investor looking to multiply their profits for financial security.
User Journey
To really understand users step process and emotional response as they navigate through the site.
It is important that users must be able to trust an investment platform because they require users to link their financial information. Since investing involves risk, securing financial information and transaction must be encrypted to protect the users.

Ideation
To start off the design process, I sketched five different layout options of each site pages and compiled all elements I liked into one final paper wireframe version. This particular sketches reflects the ideation for the home screen.

Keeping in mind user pain points while organizing the sites information architecture, I emphasized uncluttered navigation and categorized appropriately to ensure easy interaction with the site.

I conducted usability tests on the low-fidelity wireframes that I designed to test the user flow experience for Cryptohub. After, I iterated and created a high-fidelity prototype.
On the homepage, I included a landing page with a call to action button that will allow users to sign-up quickly and know they can access their account on a mobile device.
The mobile version has the same consistent structure and flow to avoid user confusion.

After conducting a usability test on both mobile and site wireframes, users expressed that the site must include the cost of the currency so they can make a purchasing decision.
No other usability issues were found on the balance transfer flow process.

Impact:
The project was successful because users find it easy and simple to use. Both new and avid investors find the website visually appealing and user friendly. The information architecture is organized, easy to follow, and uncluttered.
What I learned:
In this specific project I learned that users appreciate the conventional design but refreshing to see a website that focuses on accessibility. Transparency is also really important for users when it comes to investment. An investment platform that visibly provides the cost, price and value of the product attract and maintain users. A direct, verified and secured trading transaction also builds trust from users and the overall responsiveness of the webpage to varying screens build user retention. Consistency is always key.
